ABSTRACT

The objective of this research paper is to investigate the impact of COVID-19 on the factors influencing on-time software project delivery in different Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models such as Agile, Incremental, Waterfall, and Prototype models. Also to identify the change of crucial factors with respect to different demographic information that influences on-time software project delivery. This study has been conducted using a quantitative approach. We surveyed Software Developers, Project Managers, Software Architect, QA Engineer and other roles using a Google form. Python has been used for data analysis purposes. We received 72 responses from 11 different software companies of Bangladesh, based on that we find that Attentional Focus, Team Stability, Communication, Team Maturity, and User Involvement are the most important factors for on-time software project delivery in different SDLC models during COVID-19. On the contrary, before COVID-19 Team Capabilities, Infrastructure, Team Commitment, Team Stability and Team Maturity are found as the most crucial factors. Team Maturity and Team Stability are found as common important factors for both before and during the COVID-19 scenario. We also identified the change in the impact level of factors with respect to demographic information such as experience, company size, and different SDLC models used by participants. Attentional focus is the most important factor for experienced developers while for freshers all factors are almost equally important. This study finds that there is a significant change among factors for on-time software project delivery before and during the COVID-19 scenario. ABSTRACT

Automation has been into existence since the mid Fifties but had simplest began to gain attention lately. The RPA software program makes use of existing generation's interface to automate the human detail in the technique. So, essentially, there's no want for human intervention. web scraping is a software of robot system Automation that is used in almost all of the industries. either or not it's a e-trade internet site, commodities buying and selling web sites, or any internet site and so forth. you can scrape the information from any of them based on your hobby. Now, the problem with guide scraping by hand is that it's miles at risk of mistakes and takes numerous times. also, the facts available on websites does now not change in any respect. up to date regularly, for this reason facts saved domestically might not usually be terrible. So, industries can actually automate this mission. The main objective of the project is to save time and send the updated information to the person using RPA technology. As this COVID-19 Global Pandemic going on, we thought of creating a project around COVID-19. So, in the project we will use Data Scrapping to extract Web Table (which contains COVID-19 data such as number of affected people, recovered people etc.) from web page. And, write the extracted data into Excel then we will send that excel over the email as attachment. In this project we researched how we can send data through email using RPA and extract the data from live covid_19 website. For software automation, there are many software's that are available in market. The main RPA vendors are UiPath, Automation Anywhere, and Blue Prism. So, to complete our RPA project, we have chosen UiPath which the best in the field of automation. You should be familiar with at least one of these tools before working on the following projects. This paper aims to provide RPA reviews as technical, as well as its implementation applications. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

This paper reports on the design, development and first use experience of Mariotel: a free-software project for deploying virtual remote computer science labs simply accessible from ordinary web browsers. Mariotel platform has been developed during the first generalized lockdown period due the Covid-19 pandemic situation. Simplicity has been the main principle that guided the design and development process of Mariotel. We show that this principle has largely contributed to the quick adoption of this new platform. The system has been successfully used at USPN since 2020. 42 different teachers have used the platform in order to supply ensure 9989 lab sessions, each has in average three hour duration. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

The world is witnessing a pandemic of a severe infectious nature known as COVID-19. Many countries have used partial or complete lockdown to slow the spread of the virus, which has devastated the economies all over the world, and made hundreds of millions of people unemployed overnight. The lockdown measures and work from home practices as a response to the spread of the new coronavirus threaten the existence of many innovative startups. In fact, many software startups are either with no projects on hand and only a few of them are able to attract customers for even maintenance projects. In this paper, we provide a decision framework to help software startups choose projects which will increase their chance of success given their historically low success rate and diminished level of IT investment. © 2022 The Author(s)

ABSTRACT

Due to the consequences of the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus, home office has been adopted by companies to enable the continuity of their activities in an emergency and preventive feature. A survey has been conducted through interviews with ten project managers from multinational IT companies, in order to analyse and understand how project management processes are performed during the development of software projects in home office format. Impacts were identified in different aspects, positively and negatively, in the project management processes. Concerning software development teams, it was possible to observe that the greatest impact is related to communication and start using online tools for daily activities. We have also learned that there are differences between the consequences of the home office and consequences of the pandemic. And there are permanent changes and lessons learned during the management in pandemic. Copyright © 2021 by SCITEPRESS - Science and Technology Publications, Lda.

ABSTRACT

We present in this paper a suite of four software applications that will help a user to learn the basic vocabulary (about 6000 words) of the English language. The software program asks the user to choose a word from a list of other words. The originality of these applications consists mainly in the modality in which the choices for a tested word are selected. The software applications are graphical applications written in Java programming language. Applications can be modified so that the user can learn other foreign languages. They can also be integrated on e-learning platforms. In the context of the COVID pandemic, online learning has grown. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

In light of the trend of countries to give vaccines to their people, it was concluded that the best solution to confront the COVID-19 pandemic is to give the vaccine, as it prevents its transmission from person to person, and if the infection is infected, the symptoms are much less than the degree of danger of the person who did not meet the vaccine. In this paper, we presented tables on the types of vaccines, a brief explanation of the Coronavirus, and the idea of our software project. Vaccine handling skills, where gives users the opinions of the people who received the vaccine and the doctors also according to the age group and the disease. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

This paper presents a novel unique microstrip fractal patch antenna with a COVID-19 shape designed for wireless applications. The COVID-19 antenna is a compact, miniature size, multiband, low weight, and low-cost patch antenna;the demonstrated patch antenna, simulated using the HFSS software program, consists of a circular printed patch with a radius of 0.4 cm surrounded by 5 pairs of crowns. The antenna is implemented on a double-sided copper plate with an FR4-epoxy substrate of 1 × 1 cm2 area and 1.6 mm thickness. This small patch operates and resonates on two frequencies 7.5 GHz and 17 GHz within C and Ku bands, respectively. The simulated and measured gains were respectively 0.8 dB and 0.2 dB at the lower frequency and 2.21 dB and 2 dB at the higher frequency. A coaxial probe feeding method is used in the simulation, and printed prototypes showed excellent consistency between measured and simulated resonance frequencies. © 2022, Electromagnetics Academy. ABSTRACT

Managing a software project is a difficult process to do since it necessitates careful planning in order to find the best alternatives for a certain project. Software quality assessment is the technique of assessing software to ensure that the result fulfills the customer's needs. It is a systematic examination of the software capability to meet the specified quality requirements. On the other hand, Student Information and Accounting System (SIAS) is a comprehensive and well-designed application with student information and accounting system for educational institutions. The SIAS has an integrated learning management system for flexible learning due to the existence of the COVID-19 virus. This software has been used by 89 academic institutions all over the Philippines including the Biliran Province State University, Naval, Biliran. Thus, this paper analyzes if the SIAS meets the software quality standards or ISO/IEC 25010 that includes the eight quality characteristics by conducting an online survey based on the ISO software quality standards questionnaire. It was discovered that the application complied with ISO/IEC 25010. © 2021 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

Writing software (programs) is an obstruction, we do not have so many good developers who can develop much more enhanced models and so, for this purpose today many use the data instead of people to perform the same task. According to the generations’ needs, the programmers developed the machine learning approach to make the programming much more scalable and expandable in this domain. Before, machine learning traditional programming is a much more famous approach where programmers used to code each and every single line with their own and its main drawback is that it is not so much scalable. Here, in this chapter we are going to discuss various applications of machine learning and the algorithms they are using along with their advantage, disadvantage, and its working model of how much the particular application is scalable. Like we are going to discuss virtual personal assistants, email spam, online fraud detection, traffic predictions, social media personalization, and many more. In coming to algorithms, we will get to know about Naive Bayes algorithms, neural networks, KNN algorithms, linear regression model, logistic regression model, etc. On coming to today’s need we are also going to discuss its applications in detection of COVID-19 defaulters by the use of semantic segmentation algorithms. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
